Schrödinger's Cat Is Dead And There's Nothing You Can Do About It

Erwin Rudolf Josef Alexander Schrödinger, the physicist who decided to risk his relationship with his cat by putting it in a box with something that could potentially kill it. Thankfully, the experiment was purely theoretical. Knowing the cat does not have the ability to escape this box. He decided to conduct a thought experiment and potentially cut ties with his feline partner for the remainder of their lives in the name of physics. The experiment was to observe the possibilities of more than one reality existing at the same time. Now whether or not an alternate reality exists that we can tap into, the fact remains that the box kills the cat in the experiment because the theoretical experiment only works if we never open the box. That theoretical cat will never know why its master decided to lock it up for eternity with a single item that can only be used to kill itself with.

Humans do this daily, just not with the intention to kill. At least, not the majority of the time. Put two enemies or friends or lovers in one room for a limited amount of time. Person A and Person B. Take out Person A. Keep the doors open. The question remains in the head of the one in the room. "Will they ever return?". Depending on how much they want to punch, talk or hug the other, Person B may or may not stay. If they met for two seconds, the probability of walking out is guaranteed. However, if they already have some form of history, Person B will stay.

The question remains for how long. How long can one person hang on to the hope that the other will return before walking out? If anyone thinks that there is even a slight chance of a person staying forever. Remember that we are talking about a human, not Hachiko. There is a good chance that you will never even have to pull the other out of the room, at some point, they will leave. Some may return and meet their experiment partner once again. Some may return to a dusty empty room that only holds memories and nothing else. Schrödinger's Cat is dead and you can do nothing about it. Because humans "will do" if they "can do". No matter how evil or wrong the act may be. That is why we are the best and worst species, we are God's dirty hands, ready to mess everything up and start a clean state without considering what or who is being erased because of it. There will be killers, liars, cheaters, beggars, choosers, and worst of all, lovers. They are the ones who will keep pushing these limits of testing how much can one person take without breaking. Some might evolve and might change, but keep in mind, the possibility of dying is much larger than a miracle taking place. And there is nothing you can do about it. Just sit there and watch death take place and move on.
